British Cruiser A10 3-in-1 kit...

...the new model from Bronco Models

CRUISER TANK Mk.II/IIA/IIA CS BRITISH CRUISER TANK A10 Mk.I/IA/IA CS

I carried the details about this one in the News section when it was first announced, though now the kit is in production.  In the one kit you can build any one of three variants.  The Mk 1, the Mk 1A or the Mk 1A CS (Close Support).  The hull is essentially the same for all three and the visual difference is really in the gun and mantlet.  Both the Mk 1 and Mk 1A were armed with a 2 pounder main gun, and the Mk 1A replaced a co-axial Vickers MG with a Besa instead.

There is no interior detail to this model, but the external detail is very nicely done.  The hull and turret are of a riveted construction and this is nicely done.  On the back of the hull there are also screw head fixings, and this are also reproduced, with a slotted head and are flush to the hull plates.  There are clear parts for headlight lenses and the like, while etched brass is also used for other detail that include the mesh around the exhaust.  The other feature to mention are the tracks, which have been done in a link and length style.  The links are very nicely detailed with individual links to fit around the drive sprocket and idler, with different lengths then to do the longer straight sections.

I have started building this one and it is proving to be a straightforward build.  Fit of parts is good and it is going together quite quickly. As is usual with Bronco kits, there is some very fine detail not just in the moulding themselves, but a number of small detail fittings to put in place as well as some etch brass parts.  I'm choosing to go for the Mk 1 gun tank, with the Vickers co-axial mg.

Thanks to Bronco Models for our example.
