Military Model Scene

This kit from Italeri has been around for a few years now and  is actually not bad, easy enough to build.  It reflects some photos showing Spitfires which had barrels of beer fitted to their bomb racks, and flown from their UK bases over to the advanced airfields in Normandy, to provide some relaxation and a taste of home to the squadron personnel in Normandy.  It also carries the black and white invasion stripes applied for the period of the Normandy landings.  This particular model is finished in Lifecolor acrylic paints, while the stripes are transfers included in the kit.
