Military Model Scene

The Sonder Anhanger (Sd.Anh.) 116 was a tank transporter trailer in use by the German Wehrmacht throughout WW2.  Able to carry light and medium tanks, it was an important tool is the equipment of the German tank recovery units, who were very efficient in recovering knocked out and broken down AFV's from the battlefield, and getting them back to be fixed and back into action.

This is an injection moulded plastic kit in 1/72 from Trumpeter and it does make up very nicely.  Originally released as a kit by itself, it was later released in another kit, accompanied by an Sdkfz 9 half track as a towing vehicle.  You have options in terms of paint work from Panzer Grey, through Afrika Korps desert sand or the later war scheme of Dunkelgelb /Green /Brown.
