This rounds of an excellent reference for modellers as well as just the panzer historian, it is good value at an RRP of £14.99 as well.  The third part of this story giving us the history of the units and their combat operations in WW2.  With this final part of the set we get the closing stages of the war for those units which operated the Panther and Jagdpanther.

The first part looks at the Named Formations of the Heer (German Army).  This includes the likes of Panzergrenadier Divisions Grossdeutschland and Brandenburg and six others.  That is followed by the details for the independent Panzer Brigases and that is another six units, and this section also includes a structure chart for the Panzer Brigade.  Another section looks at seven Waffen-SS Panzer Regiments before the final section of text which deals with the Fallschirm-Panzer-Division Hermann Goring.  For all of these we get the stories of each units final months of the war, and how/where they finished up.  To accompany all of these elements there is a fine selection of appropriate archive photos to illustrate events.

The other significant element of this book, as with the previous ones, is the inclusion of some really excellent colour artwork.  Eight pages feature excellent colour profiles showing the late war camouflage patterns and unit badges as well, plus another five pages with artwork and descriptions of individual crew uniforms.  The mix of colour artwork, historical detail and archive photos is very nicely balanced and I am sure historians and modellers alike will enjoy this one.

Thanks to the UK publisher Bookworld for my example.
