Title:  TopDrawings 69, The British Hunt-class Escort Destroyer, HMS Badsworth

Author: Waldemar Goralski

Publisher:  Kagero

ISBN:  978-83-66148-19-2

A new addition to the TopDrawings series from Kagero, number 69, and it features another Royal Navy ship, this time in the form of a Hunt-class Destroyer Escort. The first pages provides us with the background to the details and the career of HMS Badsworth, a vessel which survived WW2 to be transferred to the Norwegian Navy in 1946 and not finally scrapped until 1965.

There are 26 pages of detailed 3D line drawings which illustrate each section of the ship, including basic structures, along with gun turrets, depth charge racks, ships' boats etc. Added to this, on the back cover, there are lovely colour profiles showing both sides and upper surfaces with the dazzle camouflage she wore during WW2. Then, tucked into the book are two separate, larger fold out sheets. One has 1/200 scale drawings plus larger detail views of gun mountings, boats etc. The second sheet has even larger 1/144 scale plans and on the reverse, the larger 1/144 colour plans of the camouflage pattern seen on the back cover of the book itself, plus the bow and stern views as well.

Another fine addition to this series from Kagero and a great reference for any warship modeller.
